A very special one-off knitted sample using 'The Midas Touch' pattern from A Stitch in Time Volume 1 knitted in a  DK weight cotton in a soft shade of blue with blue sequins sewn to the body.  This sweater was knitted approximately fifty years ago for the publication of the very first A Stitch in Time book. It does therefore show some sign of ageing but is in very good condition considering its age. It has no holes or damage just a small amount of fading to heavily worn areas of the cotton. The top has been freshly laundered and looks fabulous! A real collector's piece.

The sample has a finished dimension of 37 inch (92cm) bust and a length to underarm 10 inch (25.5cm).
