A one-off knitted sample from A Stitch in Time volume 1, knitted with Rowan pure wool in a lilac shade. This textured cardigan pattern was first published in the late 1930s but feels extremely contemporary in style. The interesting grid pattern of alternate stocking stitch and lace squares maintains your interest throughout. The deep garter stitch button bands are worked at the same time as the fronts with a separate collar worked in 2x2 rib. It is finished with beautiful vintage buttons.

The sample was knitted to fit 36-38 inch (91-97cm) chest and has a finished chest dimension of 37 inch (94cm) and a length to underarm of 13 and a half inch (34cm).
