Pattern - Diagonal Rib Cardigan
[tabblock]
[tab1: The Diagonal Rib Cardigan was originally published in 1946 and is an elegant transitional garment knitted in a DK weight yarn for speed of knitting and extra warmth. This cardigan has a longer line than garments from earlier in the 1940s and features a deep welt and a stunning diagonal rib pattern. The inset sleeves and v-neck give this cardigan an almost jacket-like quality. The cardigan is knitted in separate flat pieces and sewn together.
Diagonal Rib Cardigan is knitted using [link: Susan Crawford Wold DK = /collections/wold-dk :link], an exclusive blend of the wool of three British sheep breeds known for their beautiful fleeces, Southdown, Bluefaced Leicester and Shetland, creating a fabulously soft yarn with bounce and spring. Shown here in shade [productlink: Cyclamin = wold-dk-cyclamin :productlink].
Our model Miranda is shown wearing the first size to fit chest 81-86cm (32-34in).
The pattern includes instructions for four sizes to fit chest measurements between 81cm (32in) and 131cm (52in) and contains clear written instructions plus a comprehensive schematic diagram and sizing chart. :tab1]
