Pattern - The Rose Jumper

[tabblock]
[tab1: This truly beautiful sweater pattern originally from the 1930s, has graced the cover of A Stitch in Time Volume one since it was first published in 2008 and its no surprise as to why. Knitted in an interesting all-over textured stitch with rose detailing at the neckline, it is a stunning knit. It is worked in four separate pieces with raglan shaping is used to create an elegant deep neckline and the full elbow-length sleeves are constructed with a fascinating 'pointed' lower edge. Alternative gathered sleeve instructions have also been added if this is preferred. Tucks are sewn into the neckline of the front bodice before crocheted roses are sewn in place at this point. Crochet is also used around the neckline and on the sleeve points.

The Rose Jumper is knitted using [link: Susan Crawford Lomaria = /collections/lomaria :link], fingering weight yarn, a luxurious blend of alpaca, silk and cashmere, just perfect this drapey, elegant sweater. We have used the shade [productlink: Lady of Shallot = lomaria-lady-of-shallot :productlink], hand-dyed in-house by Susan and her team, a warm yet soft orange.

Our model Theodora is shown wearing the second size to fit 86-92 cm (34-36 in) chest.

The pattern includes instructions for four sizes to fit chest measurements between 76cm (30in) and 112cm (44in) and contains clear written instructions plus a comprehensive schematic diagram and sizing chart. :tab1]
