ANNEMOR YARN KITS NOW AVAILABLE TO ORDER

This kit contains all the yarn you need to knit the stylish Annemor jacket, an easy-to-wear, open front jacket with a relaxed, slightly boxy fit, knitted in fingering weight yarn. Annemor was inspired by the interweaving of Shetland and Norwegian knitting cultures as first revealed to me by Annemor Sundbo, a subject I then explored further in The Vintage Shetland Project. For Annemor I have chosen a striking colour palette of three shades of one colour plus a contrasting neutral shade for maximum impact.

Annemor is knitted using [link: Excelana North =:= /collections/excelana-4-ply,n :link] a beautiful of 100% British breed wools from Northern England and the Scottish Borders spun for us at a nearby Yorkshire mill. This fingering (4 ply) weight yarn is soft to the touch but with just the right amount of stickiness for colourwork projects.

The kit uses four hand-dyed shades of Excelana; [link: Limestone =:= /products/limestone,n :link], and three greys - from [link: Sheffield Steel =:= /products/sheffield-steel,n :link] a pale icy grey, to [link: Persian Grey =:= /products/persian-grey,n :link], a warm mid grey and [link: Charcoal =:= /products/excelana-charcoal,n :link] a deep, rich, almost black shade, all hand dyed by Susan and her team.
