PEGGY YARN KITS USING OUR VERY SPECIAL HAND-DYED BYRE FINGERING WEIGHT YARN, SPUN FROM 100% BRITISH BREED WOOL ARE NOW AVAILABLE. Please note, this kit does not include the Peggy pattern. Peggy is a simple, beautiful, classic vest pattern, with stranded colourwork stripes bordered by stocking stitch panels in a contrasting colour. This stylish combination makes Peggy the perfect addtion to any wardrobe, be it modern or vintage, and the pattern is suitable for both beginner and advanced knitters.
The pattern includes twelve sizes to fit from 71–162cm (28–64in) chest.
Peggy is knitted in [link: Byre =/collections/byre :link] our beautiful, natural-grey, fingering weight, 100% British wool paired with Wold 2 Ply fingering weight, a natural white yarn spun using a blend of Southdown, Bluefaced Leicester and Shetland wools; both yarns are spun for us in nearby Yorkshire and dyed in-house by my daughter, Charlie. Peggy can alternatively be knitted using shades of Byre as the contrasting shades.
Peggy has been knitted using the natural undyed shade of [productlink: Dry Stone Wall = byre-dry-stone-wall :productlink] as the background shade, plus hand-dyed shades of [productlink: Night Sky = byre-night-sky :productlink] a dark blue, plus Wold 2 Ply in Ladybird, a true red and Genisteae, a bold yellow shade (WHILE STOCKS LAST). These can be swapped for Room of My Own and Ragwort in Byre if desired.
