My Tie is a simple, lacy tie pattern inspired by Edwardian women's clothing when ties were worn with extravagant collared blouses and smart walking skirts. The simple shape is paired with a quickly memorable simple lace pattern edged on each side of the ties long edges, with a garter stitch border creating a neat, stylish edge to the tie.

His Tie is an incredibly simple textured pattern using only knit and purl stitches. The classic shape and surface pattern combine to make an elegant, stylish and highly wearable tie for both casual or more formal occasions.

Both ties are knitted flat from the bottom up with the length adjustable to suit the wearer. They are each easily knittable in just a couple of evenings with minimal finishing required.

The yarn used is [link: Byre=:=/collections/Byre :link], a soft, fingering weight blend of Jacobs and Shetland fibres spun exclusively for us in a nearby Yorkshire mill. My Tie is shown in the rich shade Jack O'Lantern, a warm orange and His Tie is shown in the deep shade of Undergrowth, with subtle variegation of both green and blue tones.

Both tie patterns includes clear written instructions plus accompanying optional pattern charts, which for simplicity, has been written to show the stitches you are actually knitting rather than what the pattern will look like once knitted. :tab1]
