The Feather Stitch Scarf is a truly classic piece, either worn draped around the neck or folded under the chin for a double layer. This simple lace pattern is a mainstay of Shetland lace knitting and is easy to master and quick to knit. When combined with the striking stripe pattern, it creates a bold finished piece and a perfect partner to any vintage outfit and equally looks at home in a more modern wardrobe.

The scarf features an all-over lace stitch alongside a striking stripe pattern. The two-row Feather Stitch lace pattern set on a simple rectangular scarf is a great introduction to knitting lace patterns, particularly as this pattern has both charted and written versions of the instructions.
