Fenella - Happy Accident - Dark Yule

At Susan Crawford Vintage, we hand-dye all our yarns at our Lake District studio, using our unique, personally developed recipes, to create our beautiful colour palettes. Occasionally, the unexpected occurs resulting in truly unique creations we affectionately call "Happy Accidents."

These special skeins may be in colours that fall outside our usual palettes, or they might display captivating variations in tone or variegation. Each "Happy Accident" is one (or several)-of-a-kind, a testament to the unpredictable and beautiful nature of hand-dyeing.

These unique treasures are all significantly reduced compared to yarns in our colour palettes! Remember "Happy Accidents" are limited edition, and unrepeatable.

Please note: Due to the nature of these skeins, "Happy Accidents" are not eligible for return or refund.

100% British wool - 75% Exmoor Mule, 25% Bluefaced Leicester, 129 metres/141 yards per 25g skein. Grown, sheared, spun and dyed in Britain.

Fenella is a 2 Ply yarn, worsted spun for a soft handle, and to replicate vintage '3 Ply' yarns of yesteryear. Its colour palette has been carefully created to echo vintage shades from the 1930s-1970s. It works exquisitely for Fair Isle projects as well as textured and lace stitches, blocking and holding its shape beautifully, whilst also possessing a delightful drape..

It is available in economical 25g skeins, perfect for Fair Isle projects.

Fenella is now hand-dyed in-house at our Lake District dye studio, in a wide range of beautiful, vintage inspired shades. Fenella is a non-superwash yarn and should be washed by hand in cool water with a gentle wool wash.

About Dark Yule: It is a steel-like grey shade 'Happy Accident', similar to our Yule but darker. Available as 25g skeins only.

Handwash in lukewarm water using a wool care product.
