Pattern - Amies
[tabblock]
[tab1: Amies is an elegant, t-shirt style top knitted in an all-over lace pattern. The simple lace stitch is easy to remember and intuitive to knit with every other row purled. Amies is knitted in flat pieces which are then sewn together and has a flattering round neckline and set-in sleeves. The lace pattern itself creates the softly scalloped finish to both the lower edge of the sweater and the sleeves for an extra feminine touch.
Amies is knitted using [link: Susan Crawford Fenella = /collections/fenella :link], a 2 ply (vintage 3ply weight) yarn, worsted spun for a soft handle and is the perfect yarn for lace knitting with great stitch definition. Amies is shown here in shade [productlink: Phthalo = phthalo :productlink].
Susan is shown wearing the 4th size to fit 107-112cm (42-44in) chest. Amies is designed to be worn with up to 16cm (6in) of negative ease as the lace pattern needs to stretch over the body to be seen properly.
The pattern includes instructions for 5 sizes to fit chest measurements 76 - 127cm (30 - 50in) and is designed to be worn with a small amount of negative ease. The pattern contains clear written instructions plus a chart for the lace pattern. A comprehensive schematic diagram and sizing chart are also included.:tab1]
